Configure Storage Backup Exec
To configure storage in Veritas Backup Exec, click on the Storage tab and then click the Configure Storage option.
Configure the storage wizard, select your Backup Exec Server, and then click Next.
Which type of storage do you want to configure for backup? Select disk-based storage. Of course, Backup Exec also supports other storage methods, and you can set it according to the actual situation.
Configure the disk storage of VERITAS, select Disk Storage, and then click Next.
In the Configure Storage Backup Exec window, specify a name for storage and descriptions, and then click Next.
Select a local disk or a network share. I will go to select my local drive and then click next.
Configure Veritas Backup Exec storage and determine how many write operations will be allowed on the chosen storage. In NetBackup, this setting is called multi-streaming. Click next.
Veritas Backup Exec storage configuration summary page, review the summary, and then click finish.
To view more device properties for Veritas Backup Exec backup storage, click OK.
Now you can see the Backup Exec storage displayed on the central administrator server.
