In this article, we will perform the installation of VMware ESXi 7, which is the virtualization platform on which we can create and run virtual machines and virtual appliances.

Requirements for ESXi 7
Before going to install vSphere ESXi 7, please ensure to go over the hardware requirements.
Download VMware vSphere ESXi 7.0 Host
You can Download ESXi server 7.0 from VMware’s official website (in this article, a free trial is downloaded, which can be used for 60 days before expiring).
Now I have my VMware ESXi 7 download ready, and I am ready to install ESXi.
Install VMware ESXi 7.0
Create bootable VMware ESXi Installer USB media and then select boot from USB in your system’s BIOS.
It starts loading the installation files into memory to install ESXi 7.
To install VMware ESXI 7.0, press enter to start the ESXi installation.
Accept the VMware End User License Agreement to continue.
Select the hard disk to install ESXi Server 7.0, and then press the enter key If the hard disks are not visible, you can refresh them using the F5 key.
Choose your keyboard layout, and then press enter to continue.
Enter a root password, confirm the password, and then hit enter to continue.
Press the F11 key to confirm install ESXi Server 7.0.
The VMware ESXi 7 installation is in progress, and it will take a bit to complete.
VMware ESXi 7 installation is successfully completed. Please remove the ESXi installation media and then press enter to reboot the host.

Configure VMware vSphere ESXi 7.0
Once the VMware ESXi 7 host is successfully installed, we need to configure and press the F2 key for all options. The F12 key is to restart and turn off the ESXi 7 host.
Press the F2 key, type your root password, and then hit enter to continue.
Configure Management Network ESXi
Here you can set the ESXi host management network for accessing vSphere UI and SSH.
Click on the IPv4 Configuration option, and then press enter.
Select the set static IPv4 address and network configuration option, enter the (IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway), and then press enter.
Click on the DNS Configuration option, and then press enter.
Type the primary DNS server IP address and hostname, and then press enter.
Click on the custom DNS suffixes option, and then press enter.
Type your custom DNS suffixes and then press enter.
Press the Esc key, then press the Y key to apply changes and restart the host.
Now the vSphere ESXi 7 host configuration is successfully completed.
Now open any web browser, type your ESXi 7 IP address or hostname, and then press enter.
Click on the Show Advance button, and then process.
Type your root username and password, and then click the Login button.
Now the ESXi host is ready.
