Upgrade Veeam Backup and Replication 12
For Veeam backup and replication 12 upgrades, go to your downloaded folder and mount the Veeam ISO file. Open this PC (my computer) and run the Veeam backup and replication 12 setup.exe file to upgrade.
In the Veeam backup and replication 12 upgrade wizard, click on upgrade.
Once the wizard is open, choose the upgrade Veeam backup and replication.
Initializing setup
Click on the I Accept button to accept the Veeam license agreement.
Review the Veeam backup and replication components to be upgraded, and then choose next.
The upgrade wizard will automatically detect the license file and then choose Next.

Specify the service account for Veeam Backup & Replication and credentials, and then choose next.
Verify the SQL Server database and SQL Server service account, and then click next.
Choose yes to connect this installation to the selected database.

Veeam Upgrade Post Reboot
Once the Veeam upgrade is done, click yes to restart the server.
Open the Veeam Backup shortcut and then choose to connect.
Now we need to update all distributed components (installer, mount server, transport, etc.). Select the managed server, and then click Apply.

After upgrading Veeam backup and replication 12, you don’t need to create new jobs or make any other changes for the existing backups and replications to work.
